Mike Jensen moved to Oconee County from Charleston, South Carolina in 2001. Mike has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Coastal Carolina University and a Master of Arts in Social Studies Education from The Citadel. Additionally, Mike is a National Board-Certified Teacher. In 2014, Mike was the School District of Oconee County Teacher of the Year. Mike retired from teaching in 2025 after 34 years as an educator. He received a real estate license in 2024. Mike is married and has two adult children. Mike enjoys many of the outdoor activities that Oconee County and South Carolina have to offer including mountain biking at Stumphouse Mountain Bike Park, stand up paddle boarding on Lake Keowee and Lake Jocassee, and surfing at Folly Beach or along the Grand Strand.
